Youth Eligibility

Summer Youth Employment Program Eligibility Requirements 

1. Permanent resident of one of the following counties: Sedgwick, Sumner, Butler, Cowley, Harper or Kingman
2. Youths will be at least 16 years old and no more than 24 years old at enrollment
3. Eligible to work in the United States
4. Family meets low income guidelines for family size
5. Must have one of the following barriers to education or employment:
• Basic Skills Deficient-defined as an individual who computes problems, reads, writes or speaks English at or below grade level 8.9
• Homeless, Runaway or Foster Care recipient
• School Dropout
• Pregnant or Parenting
• Requires assistance to complete education
• Requires assistance to secure and hold employment
• Offender
